眾所周知，其實社工應該算是一個大家既熟悉又陌生的詞。并且其實大家對對這個詞不陌生，這些地區(qū)有著完善的社工制度。加拿大作為一個高全民福利的，有著完善的社會服務體系和一流的社工教育也不足為奇。接下來美嘉小編就為大家介紹下這個社工專業(yè)：

為什么要學習社工？原因很簡單，就是收入和就業(yè)前景都好；然后這是一個非常穩(wěn)定的工作；后，社工專業(yè)的國際化發(fā)展非常好，是真正的可進可退，可留可回的專業(yè)。學生在學習這個專業(yè)后，無論是在工作，還是留在加拿大都是很便利的。

社工就是：是社會工作的專業(yè)人才，他們運用專業(yè)的知識和技能，以社區(qū)為單位幫助困境中的需要幫助的人員，主要就是和政府公共服務的互補。社工實際上就介于政府服務人員和民間工藝組織之間的存在主要服務對象是弱勢群體，如老年人、兒童等弱勢群體。主要服務領域是社會福利、社會救助、慈善事業(yè)、社區(qū)援助。而回國工作的話，也并不是只能在街道工作，而是許多選擇的：民政、勞動、社會保障和衛(wèi)生等社會組織及其他社會福利、服務和公益團體等機構，主要從事社會保障、社會政策研究、社會行政管理、社區(qū)發(fā)展與管理、社會服務、評估與操作等工作。

在加拿大學習社工是有2個渠道的：學院和本科。根據加拿大留學中介指出，先進入學院的社工專業(yè)在完成學業(yè)后，再根據需求伺機申請本科，在錄取的幾率更大一些。因為直接申請本科課程的話，由于這個專業(yè)在申請的時候要求學生有一定的相關背景，所以直接錄取有難度。實際上在學院的申請也是競爭激烈的，所以申請要趁早的。

卡爾頓大學

Senior High School (3 years of study) and Senior High School Graduation Exam

瑞爾森大學

A Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from an institution that meets the guidelines of the International Association of Schools of Social Work, or is accredited by a national body of accreditation；Achieved a minimum 3.0/4.33 (B or equivalent) average in the last two years of study. Note: Given the strong competition, applicants will normally be required to present academic averages significantly higher than the minimum.

蘭加拉學院

Completion of BC Grade 12 or equivalent or be 19 years of age or older.

Minimum 3 credits of university-transferable courses with a grade point of 2.00 or higher.

殊不知，其實對于大部分同學們在加拿大社工專業(yè)畢業(yè)后，通常是可以去選擇在這些領域工作：社工，市政府，中學輔導員，特別看護中心。尤其是在華人比較多的社區(qū)，這些職位都會非常容易找到工作，而這一類工作的齊心一般都在30加幣/小時左右，還算是不錯的。并且對于移民來說也是符合政策要求的。
